Continuing the R&B Orchestra tour, this weekend’s show headed to Invisible Wind Factory for another high-energy performance.

We supported the production with a dedicated sound engineer and a comprehensive monitoring package, combining wireless Sennheiser G4 in-ear monitoring (IEM) systems for performers moving around the stage with wired IEM systems for musicians in fixed positions. This hybrid approach ensured every performer received clear, reliable foldback throughout the show, helping the band and vocalists stay connected and confident from start to finish.

As the tour has progressed, our audio package has expanded to include a complete radio microphone solution. Using the Sennheiser EW-D platform, we supplied handheld wireless microphones fitted with sE Electronics V7 capsules for the vocalists, delivering excellent clarity and feedback rejection. The system also incorporated a plug-on transmitter with phantom power, allowing the lead violinist to perform wirelessly using a DPA 4099 microphone. This setup provided complete freedom of movement on stage without compromising audio quality.

The venue’s distinctive industrial character provided a striking backdrop for the performance, while an impressive pixel-mapped LED lighting design transformed the space and added another layer to the audience experience. Working from the venue’s in-house Midas console, our engineer managed the monitor mix throughout the evening, ensuring consistent and dependable monitoring for every performer on stage.

Liverpool’s audience certainly brought the energy, singing along throughout the night and creating an electric atmosphere from the opening number to the finale. Combined with the unique venue, impressive production values, and the talent of the performers, it made for another memorable stop on the tour.
