The penultimate Proms show of the tour took place at Carlisle Castle. We delivered the same full production as the other shows on the tour, providing stage, sound system, lighting, video wall, and crew.
The main challenge at this location was building the stage on a tarmac surface. At previous events, the stages were installed on grass, allowing us to ballast the structure using ground anchors. At Carlisle Castle, this was not possible, so to ensure the stage remained safe in windy conditions, we hired a telehandler and concrete blocks to provide the required ballast.
Despite periods of wind and rain, the audience turned out in strong numbers and thoroughly enjoyed the performance. Helen Skelton presented the Saturday night Proms.
