The RCCG Fountain of Grace Worship Centre are a longstanding customer. We have helped support some of their worship events over the years, starting out providing backline and drum kits, to helping them with equipment purchases to help fit out their church space in Telford.
For this event they asked if we could help them with video production equipment and crew to help with their worship broadcast, for a special event called ‘Raw Worship’. Our crew complement included video technician and camera operator, along with a sound engineer to ensure their in-house technicians were comfortable with some new equipment being used.
Our sound engineer helped setup their drummer’s Powerplay P16 unit, which they wanted to use with their Behringer X32 mixer and allow them to have control of their IEM mix. They also needed some tweaks for their signal distribution to their broadcast.
Our video crew deployed several Blackmagic Micro Studio cameras for the live stream video curation. One of these was rigged as a manned operator’s camera, with the remaining ones being remote controlled via pan-tilt heads, all running back through our Blackmagic Design HD8 switcher rack, for switching and colour control.
The event featured three choirs, which meant there was a lot of action to capture on screen for the broadcast. The multi-camera setup ensured comprehensive coverage of the performance, capturing the scale and energy of the event for the remote audience, as well as an overspill room, which our team were able to provide an audio and visual feed into, to allow the additional congregation on site to be able to see and hear the action on stage.
