Last weekend was spectacular. We’re just about recovered from Shrewsbury Fields Forever Festival 2014 and what a weekend it was. Some fantastic bands, excellent DJs and great audiences throughout. This was the maiden outing for our new Void Stasys PA System and boy did we fall further in love with it! What a system!
We provided our full Void Stasys sound system for both live and dance music across the weekend. FOH mixing, monitor mixing and stage management.
The Friday night saw the “Local Heroes” night of live music from some of Shropshire and the surrounding area’s finest bands. The line-up included Fight the Bear, the Taste, The Young Braves, The Rainbreakers, Thin Vision and more.
The Saturday daytime provided more live music from bands from further afield, for the “Reloaded” event. Bands that played included Nothing But Thieves, Glass Caves, Longy, The Redkites and more.
Saturday evening gave way to the “Spunky” dance event, where our crew got to take a well earned break whilst the local ravers and dancers got bouncing to the sounds of Darren Styles, Emcee Storm and Mark EG, amongst others.
The Sunday was no let up. The live music continued with acoustic performances earlier on, from the likes of Paul Webb & Rob Kearns, whilst the headlining band before close were the excellent Travelling Band.
What with working on site for several days beforehand, helping to set up fences, stages, lighting and more and the days after packing down, we were about ready to get some well earned rest! A big thanks to all involved, the production crew and organisers.
A special thanks to Jamaz and the Energized Sound & Lighting crew, always a pleasure to work with those guys. Our combined efforts for the Local Heroes/Experience Stage created something really special and we look forward to the next one.
